“Our vision is a workplace where issues are solved before they ever reach your desk, where burnout, absence, and conflict don’t drain your time or your budget because they’re prevented long before they need managing. These challenges cost UK businesses billions every year. SaSpaw exists to ensure your organisation isn’t carrying that burden.”
Thank you for taking the time to read our website. We are business partners Susan and Simon, leading SaS People and Wellbeing, a consultancy built on over 50 years of combined experience with people, wellbeing, and change management. We give organisations access to deep, unbiased expertise without the cost or commitment of full‑time hires.
We are acutely aware of the pressures employers are facing, especially with the Employment Act 2025 and the growing influence of AI on business operations. It’s understandable that organisations are becoming more cautious and more strategic about recruitment decisions. We have created SaSpaw because we’ve seen firsthand how stretched small and medium‑sized organisations have become. Our purpose is simple: to help organisations perform better by supporting their people.
Our work begins with a clear diagnostic that highlights where people and wellbeing strategies are strong and where gaps are holding the organisation back. This gives leaders real insight and areas to focus on. From there, we will build a practical, accessible framework that works for everyone, including neurodiverse colleagues. The outcome is straightforward: healthier people, stronger teams, and a more resilient organisation.

Hi, I am Susan, as one of the founders of SAS People and Wellbeing Ltd, I bring a purpose‑driven approach to people and operations, shaped by a career dedicated to helping people, teams, and organisations thrive across public, private, and third‑sector environments. I have worked closely with senior leaders to deliver meaningful transformation, change and embed inclusive and compassionate cultures, and align workforce strategies with organisational goals. Known for navigating complex and regulated settings with empathy, clarity, and commercial acumen, I blend data, dialogue, and design to elevate performance and engagement.
A Chartered Fellow of the CMI with CIPD Level 5, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, BSc (Hons), and Counselling L4 credentials, I combine strategic insight with hands‑on delivery across the full employee lifecycle, from talent and learning to reward, wellbeing, and organisational development. Through SAS People and Wellbeing Ltd, I champion people‑centred, evidence‑informed practice that supports organisations to grow sustainably while enabling individuals to feel valued, supported, and able to do their best work.
Hi, I’m Simon. As a co‑founder of SAS People and Wellbeing Ltd, I bring a people‑first, values‑led approach to leadership and organisational development, grounded in lived experience across highly diverse and complex working environments. My career began in the Royal Air Force, where discipline, teamwork, and service shaped my foundational approach to leadership and wellbeing. Since then, I have worked extensively across both the public and private sectors, supporting large global organisations, including Digital Equipment Corporation, Compaq, Hewlett Packard, TÜV, Siemens Plessey, and BAE Systems - as well as SMEs, where I helped build and scale a successful multinational web‑hosting business.
Across these environments, I have navigated a wide range of organisational cultures and, at times, challenging employment relationships. These experiences have been instrumental in shaping my commitment to compassionate, inclusive leadership and have driven my passion for supporting people to feel safe, valued, and supported at work. For more than 15 years, I have worked as a people leader, helping individuals, teams, and organisations build trust, improve performance, and strengthen wellbeing, particularly during periods of growth, pressure, or change.
A Fellow of the CIPD, an Associate Member of MHFA England, a qualified First Aider for over eight years, and a Cruse Grief First Aider, I bring both professional credibility and human understanding to my work. Through SAS People and Wellbeing Ltd, I work alongside my co‑founder to champion evidence‑informed, people‑centred practice that integrates wellbeing with organisational strategy. Together, we support organisations to create healthy, sustainable workplaces where people can thrive, perform at their best, and navigate work and life with confidence and care.
